I awoke after a night of fitful sleep, looking forward to my last full day of walking. It was another perfect day. Among the photos you can see clever recycling of old bedsprings as fencing, and also the high speed train construction. Being Sunday, all was quiet.
I had a reservation at the Albergue Embalse de Alcantara, which had been closed for the kast several years. It is new and very well equipped. As the only place to stay, it is even more welcome.
I do want to say, though, that the albergue in Cañaveral (12 km later) is also excellent, if you are up to a 34 km day.
Well done, I think you are the last of the Mozarabe mob still standing. I’ve enjoyed all the blogs so thank you.
No , there are some still walking – Gwen, Maggie and Marilyn, at least.
