Breakfast with my prodigal friends, Rosa and Palitos.
Walk past the always-impressive aquaduct.
Onto the highway out of town and to the Roman dam at Proserpina. The day was overcast and good for walking. I felt good in this familiar ground – this is my third year in a row that I’ve walked this stage.
I passed one German woman who was walking very slowly.
I had reserved a bed and on arrival I found the albergue full of Germans and Italians. Nationals in groups tend to stick together so there has not been much attempt at conversation. I have been content to catch up on my blog!
Clare, I am sure you will enjoy your last week whether alone or with others. Buen Camino my friend, I surely will consider this route, thank you so much for introducing it to me.
I found the Mozarabe to be hard. I will write some summary comments after I get some perspective.
I hope you continue your route as the Vldp is in my plans for next April… thanks for the beautiful photos!
