Day 27. Aljucén to Alcuescar (21 km)

Keep in mind that the kms above are the distances between albergues. Not included are the several km each day doing errands or sightseeing in town.

Another “easy” day by some standards. However, I find that after 20 km, my body feels like it has done a solid day’s work. After 25 km it starts to protest. After 30 km, it trudges with great reluctance.

Leaving Aljucén…

Wildflowers and scenery…

This is the first time I’ve stayed at the religious albergue/monastery in Alcuescar. I took the tour, attended mass and partook of the pilgrim meal…

Of the group of 7 Italians, 3 have brought bathrobes – see them draped over the bunk beds..
