We walked all over. Learned to cross the streets! We did New Delhi, Old Delhi, India Gate, the area of the Red Fort, miscellaneous bazaars and the Delhi Zoo.
Everything was interesting. We watched traffic police doing spot checks on a bridge for awhile, saw a women’s march, dodged every sort of vehicle, observed life on bridges …

It is hard work to push, pull or pedal a load up the slight rise of a long bridge. We noticed the labourers pausing at the start sometimes. Then we realized that they were waiting for a kindly person to come along and offer a helping hand foot…
