The distance was officially 27.5 km but we did quite a tour of Melide before settling in to the Hotel Xaneiro.

The conditions underfoot and the weather were easier today.

Arriving in Melide,  neither of us wanted to seek out the famous pulperías for the  octopus the city and region are known for. We finally found the Hotel Xaneiro, which has a sort of faded elegance but is run by a very friendly couple who speak good English.
