Today really was a short day. This morning I hoped to sleep late, but somewhere in the hostal an alarm clock  started beeping at 6 a.m. and didn’t stop. It wasn’t loud, but woke me anyway. At least I slept well before that.

In between a leisurely breakfast and a trip to the laundromat, I checked out the Leon cathedral. Of course it was beautiful. I was impressed that it was built in only 50 years, in the 13th century.

Finally at 2 pm I started walking. I went only 8 km, and am staying on the outskirts of Leon, ready for a big day tomorrow. Just finished dinner – by myself other than local families.
