The Sisters (SSS) are keeping up and bunked nearby last night.
In the morning I stepped out at 7:30 and since I don’t like to walk in the dark, I went on search of breakfast.
This is a common Camino breakfast (or lunch). The coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice are great but i have to say that the bocadillo sandwich is less so. The bread is dry (not a nice chewy sourdough) and tearing off bites is hard on that little ridge behind your top front teeth; the Iberian ham is hard to rip apart neatly. The dry crumbs fly everywhere.
Here’s a low-carb lunch I saw today – bacon and chips!
Finally, a view of the path…
i quit after my few first bocadillo! I can’t figure out how they can bake them so dry. I couldn’t even cut them with my good little Gerber knife. Thanks for posting, I am so enjoying your photos.
