We had a bit of uncertainty about the route out of the city, but sorted it out.

First destination was the Roman ruins of Acinipo. (For Laurie, it is not enough to go from A to B, if there is also A point C within striking distance.)
We couldn’t figure out what inspired the Romans to establish a city of 2000 people with theatre, etc., on top of that hill in the middle no where. It was WINDY!

After that, guess what! We walked to another hilltop white village, Setenil de las Bodegas. I thought I was lucky because we entered from the top and our accommodation was up there, too. But no, when one is in one of these places, it is de rigeur to walk down to the bottom to look around. Walking back up then follows.

The town was quite big and the streets very confusing! We stayed in a Casa Rural and ate at El Patio de María Teresa.

That eggplant looks fantastic!
