I am quite satisfied with my day. 20 km is modest, but I think I have only walked that distance one other time in 2.5 years. And it is 32°C. Luckily it has been overcast all day so I haven’t had the sun beating down on me. It is getting more humid – possibly thunderstorms tonight and rain tomorrow.
My breakfast was left for me in a corner of the patio, since I was leaving before 9 a.m.

The walk was not particularly interesting, but the geography is changing. The camino goes up and down the valley side, along the river Sil.

I’m staying in Sobradelo, which is NOT a happening place on a muggy Saturday afternoon. But I am too worn out to go down 3 flights of stairs to wander about. I did get a delicious dinner Restaurante El Museo, which was a bright spot in the town. Then I hung around until the grocery store opened after siesta, so I have emergency supplies – juice, nuts, chocolate and muesli.

And… Dónde está Abuela?

I so admire you and others for walking the Camino by yourself. Thanks for sharing, and I’m enjoying reading your posts.
Now that I am home, I see a number of comments that I hadn’t noticed on my phone while I was walking! Thank you for your comment. It is important to realize that there are many degrees of “walking by yourself”. You might fly to Spain by yourself, and you might have no commitment to walking with another specific individual, but on the busier Camino routes you very quickly would have company. On the lesser-walked routes, it is not always the case.
