Do. Not. Pay. To. Watch. This. Movie.
Even being able to drink wine with the popcorn did not relieve the 2 hours and 45 minutes of confused mayhem on the screen. Probably an example of how to ruin a potentially interesting concept with disastrous or non-existent editing. It was perhaps the worst movie ever released with an all star cast (including Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Hugh Grant and others). It did, however, stimulate considerable discussion the next day.
Because my mother sometimes thinks I am unkind to movie directors and producers, let me remind her that they spent $100 million on this product and wasted 3 hours of my life!
I wrote the above without benefit of reading any professional reviews of the movie. Amazingly, many reviews seem somewhat tolerant of the movie. However, I’d agree with the Prague Post when it says the film is “mostly a pretentious bore” and entreats “Save us from these three hours.”
I would be interested in your opinion, so please go see it. After all, those guys need to recover $100 million.
