Serrana 8 – Olvera to Coripe (25 km)

This was a day mainly along a Vía Verde – a railway route (apparently never used as such) converted to hiking, biking, etc. There was no actual train track, but we went through 20+ tunnels. Some were lit, but even so, it was hard to see and balance in the dark after entering from bright sunshine. Had to watch for cyclists, as well.

Another uphill to our destination, Coripe in another pleasant casa rural. Dinner at El Pastor was warm and filling, although not quite Michelin recommended.

French fries with various other things – egg, sausage, shrimp, ham, cheese, etcetera

  1. How did the Canadian delicacy with a Spanish twist (paella poutine looks like?) taste after a Michelin star the night before? -Hana

    • I also thought it was like a Spanish poutine. It was OK for a few bites, but I couldn’t finish it. The previous restaurant had no “star” but was on some lower list.
