I have to catch up with the posts! As we approach and enter Galicia, the amount of water in the environment increases. The camino follows and crisscrosses rivers and streams, and streams of water cross our path.
There was a high overcast on the hike up to O Cebreiro. We missed Easter Sunday services, but went into the church and lit a candle.
The walk down (and up and down) was grey but pleasant.
The rain and wind had started by the time we thankfully found the Fontría albergue to be open. A communal dinner and private room set us straight.
That night we didn’t sleep well as the strong winds seemed to threaten to topple our ancient building off its perch. Nevertheless, we are still here!
